You do not have to have it all figured out to begin.
Hello! I’m Rochelle Koch (“cook”). I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have over 15 years of experience providing mental health services in diverse populations including academic, community and medical settings. I believe that therapy is most meaningful when you feel safe enough to show up exactly as you are.
As the only second-generation Filipino American in my immediate family, my personal experiences have shaped the way I understand identity, culture, and belonging. I know what it can feel like to carry intergenerational expectations, navigate cultural messages that discourage talking about emotions, and balance honoring family while learning to care for yourself. I've also experienced the beauty, strength, and deep sense of connection that can come from embracing both your cultural roots and your authentic self.
While I have an appreciation for the unique experiences of Filipino Americans and other individuals navigating multicultural identities, my practice welcomes people from all backgrounds. Whether you're exploring questions of identity, managing life's transitions, healing from difficult experiences, or simply longing to feel more like yourself again, my hope is to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered.
more about me…
Outside of being a therapist, I'm also a wife, a mama to three wonderful kids, and a photographer. Like many of the people I work with, I wear many hats. I know firsthand how beautiful—and sometimes overwhelming—it can be to balance life's many roles and responsibilities.
My family is my joy and keeps me grounded in what matters most. They remind me to slow down, embrace the present moment, and receive the same grace and care that I strive to offer others. They've taught me that growth doesn't come from having everything figured out, but from showing up with love, flexibility, and a willingness to begin again.
When I'm not meeting with clients, you'll likely find me tending to my plants or getting lost in a good book or movie. I'm also a lover of God, iced coffee, dry shampoo, and the kind of laugh attacks that leave your cheeks hurting.
My Approach
together, we will create space for healing.
Kasama means "together" and I believe healing happens in connection - with yourself, others and your community. Together, we will honor your roots and nurture your growth. My approach to therapy starts with building rapport. I believe healing begins in relationships where you feel safe, seen, and not judged. I take time to understand your world—your story, culture, values, and strengths—so we can work together with trust and care. It is truly a privilege to be invited into someone's story.
Wherever life brings you, I hope to give you a space to better understand yourself, build meaningful coping skills, and move forward with greater clarity. You don’t have to navigate the journey alone.
